Effect of Flow Channel Cross Section Shape on the Performance of Heat Storage Structure

چکیده
A numerical simulation is carried out for the thermal storage process in a heat device with magnesia bricks as energy medium. Three types of cross section shapes (square, hexagon, circle) flow channel are considered inlet air temperature high 1023K. The perssure drop, distribution and uniformity obtained. results show that pressure drop circle lowest when Reynolds number less than 2300 (in this case velocity 5m/s), While more 2300, square has drop. time decreases increase velocity. indicates hexagon best comprehensive performance.
